Tawjihi first day goes smoothly — Thneibat

AMMAN — The first day of the Tawjihi 2014 summer session went smoothly on Saturday, according to Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat.

Some 101,605 students sat for the first test of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination, which tested their English language skills.

Thneibat visited several examination halls to check on students, noting that the ministry’s operations’ room did not receive any complaints related to the exam.

A total of 126,773 students have registered to sit for the Tawjihi summer session, for which the ministry has tasked 13,000 teachers to supervise the exams and 18,566 to correct the papers.
