AMMAN — Lower House Speaker and President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU) Atef Tarawneh condemned the tourist attack in Egypt’s Giza area on Sunday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The terrorist attack targeted a tourist bus near the Egyptian Museum, causing injures. This attack will not undermine Egypt’s resolve, Tarawneh said. The president stressed that the APU recognises the importance of combining all local, regional and international efforts to deal with the terrorist ideology and its motives, uncovering its political, economic and psychological effects on innocent civilians.
He stressed the APU’s solidarity with Egypt in all efforts against the various forms of violence, extremism and terrorism. Tarawneh also called on all parliaments and governments to stand united against the growing tide of terrorism, in words and in action.
