AMMAN — The National Centre for Culture and Arts (NCCA) held a workshop last week on creative writing and interactive theatre techniques in continuation of an earlier workshop that had involved 20 emerging young Jordanian and Syrian artists in November, according to a British Council statement released Saturday.
The monologues resulted from the previous training were selected to be performed in public readings in three different locations around the Kingdom: on December 19 at the NCCA, on December 20 in Irbid at the Princess Basma Centre for Human Development and on January 10 at the British Council. The initiatives are part of the “Artivism” project, launched by the King Hussein Foundation’s NCCA in partnership with the British Council.
