AMMAN — Two suspects were arrested after attempting to smuggle cocaine in an unusual way: saturating cloth with the substance.
The illegal merchandise was bound for “an Arab country”, Public Security Directorate Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi said, adding that one of the suspects, who brought the cocaine, is from a South American country and the other is an Arab national.
The Anti-Smuggling Department’s personnel also made a bust on Sunday, and seized smuggled goods on the Desert Highway. The seized goods included car parts, clothes, sewing machines and perfumes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
