Suspected drug dealers arrested during Mafraq, Madaba and Southern Badia raids

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) on Wednesday arrested a number of suspected drug dealers during the past 24 hours.
Public Security Directorate media spokesperson said that AND have dealt with three cases of drug smuggling and promoting in Mafraq, Madaba and Southern Badia.
In the first case, investigators received intel about a suspected drug dealer transporting a large amount of narcotic substances from Mafraq to Karak.
After verifying information, the department ambushed the suspect, arrested him along with two other accomplices.
Searching the vehicle, 21 palm-sized packs of hashish and 3,000 narcotic pills were found, the PSD spokesperson said.
In Madaba, the house of a suspect in drug trafficking and promotion cases was raided after collecting information and making sure that he used his house to store and sell drugs.
In the third case, a suspected drug dealer was arrested inside his vehicle in one of the southern Badia regions. The AND seized a firearm, three palm-sized packs of hashish and an amount of narcotic pills, the PSD spokesperson said.
