‘Suspect wanted for 38 cases arrested in raid’

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested a suspect classified as “dangerous” and wanted for 38 criminal cases in a raid in Northeast Badia, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said Wednesday.
The suspect is reportedly involved in cases of theft, attempted murder and carrying arms, the PSD said, adding that CID agents tracked him and found him hiding in his house in the badia region.
A gunfire exchange took place during the raid, and the suspect was shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital where he was listed in fair condition. The CID will refer him to court as soon as he recovers, Petra reported.
