Suspect in fatal campus shooting shot himself — police

AMMAN — Police on Sunday said that a man suspected of shooting and killing a female university student has shot himself when police closed in on him.
“We were able to locate the killer and when police surrounded him he shot himself,” Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi told The Jordan Times.
The police official added more information regarding the incident will be released to the public soon.
Iman Ersheid, a nursing major, was reportedly shot over five times by the man as she exited an exam hall on Thursday, according to multiple media outlets.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her wounds, according to Sartawi.
