Students transferred from Al Wasfeyeh school after cracks in building found

AMMAN — The Irbid Education Directorate began transferring students of Al Wasfeyeh primary mixed school in Som to the Som Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls, which operates on a two shift system, the directorate’s Director Mohammad Hailat said on Saturday.
Hailat said, after conducting a tour of the school and several schools in western Irbid, a decision was made to preserve the safety of students and school staff due to cracks in the school building, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also pointed out that there are 138 male and female students at Al Wasfeyeh school, and that the directorate will take all appropriate measures to provide a safe educational environment for students.
