‘Strong’ geomagnetic storm to affect Earth in next two days

AMMAN — A “relatively strong” geomagnetic storm is expected to affect Earth within the next two days, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
The storm, which is caused by the appearance of “giant” sunspots on the sun’s photosphere, might impact satellites, spaceships, space communications, flights near the North Pole and electricity, according to Petra.
