SSC wins 4 international awards for achievements, programmes

AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) won four awards at the 2021 International Social Security Association (ISSA) Good Practice Awards: Asia and the Pacific, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The SSC received awards for excelling in digitally transforming services, its maternity insurance which contributes to empowering women, and the Estidama programme that ensured the sustainability of the private sector.

The SSC indicated that the Geneva-based ISSA is an international organisation affiliated with the UN, adding that the association includes 327 social security and insurance institutions in more than 150 countries around the world.

The awards are offered to institutions that employ creative and innovative methods to overcome social security administration challenges at international institutional levels, the SSC said, adding that winning the awards constitutes a valuable national achievement.
