AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Monday began receiving instalment applications from establishments operating in the tourism sector and related activities, under exceptional financial facilities approved by its board of directors to support the sector.
In a statement, the SSC said that applications will be accepted until the end of September, urging eligible tourism establishments to submit their requests within the specified timeframe.
The corporation said that the facilities allow businesses operating in tourism and related sectors to settle outstanding dues through instalments at a reduced annual interest rate of 1 per cent.
The SSC added that beneficiaries may also defer the start of instalment payments until April at the latest, a measure aimed at easing financial pressures and helping establishments sustain their operations.
It called on establishments engaged in tourism-related or supporting activities to obtain certificates confirming their sector affiliation from the Ministry of Tourism, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) or the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), depending on their jurisdiction, before visiting SSC branches to submit their applications.
