Speaker meets Saudi, Greek ambassadors

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat on Tuesday met with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Jordan Naif Al Sudairi and discussed means of boosting bilateral ties in all fields.

Talks during the meeting highlighted the two countries’ effective cooperation and consultation in various fields. Also on Tuesday, Oddat met with Greece's Ambassador to Jordan Eleftheria Galathianaki over furthering Jordanian-Greek bilateral cooperation, notably boosting parliamentary relations.

Oddat highlighted the importance of continuing the two parliaments consultations, as well as building on the outcomes of the trilateral meetings between His Majesty King Abdullah, the Greek prime minister and the Cypriot president in the past few years.

Galathianaki said that Jordan is seen as “a key and pivotal partner” in the region and “one of the most important pillars” of regional security and stability.
