Speaker assures Lower House’s openness to media outlets

AMMAN — The Lower House is open for all media outlets, Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat said on Monday. He highlighted the measures taken to ensure reporters’ rights to disseminate information, stressing the importance of respecting individuals’ privacy.

Oddat remarks came in response of an intervention made by MP Abdul Karim Dughmi arguing that filming and publication of correspondence under the Dome breaches deputies’ right to personal freedom, calling for dealing with any breaches, including personal freedom from now on in accordance with the law, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
