Southern Military Zone battalion conducts drill

AMMAN — The Sharif Shaker Bin Zaid Mechanized Battalion 42, a unit of the Southern Military Zone, on Monday carried out the tactical military drill "Sword edge". 

Zone Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammed Zboun listened to a briefing on the drill and its envisioned goals, in addition to the course of the training plan that was prepared based on simulated operations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The exercise aimed at testing the combat preparedness of battalion personnel and their ability to plan and execute decisions while in similar circumstances during conventional and non-conventional operations.
