SOFEX 2016 to kick off on May 9

AMMAN — Under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah, the King Abdullah I Air Base in Marka is scheduled to host the 11th Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) 2016 between May 9 and 12.

The exhibition, which will be held under the supervision of HRH Prince Feisal and the support of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, is an international event that brings together the world’s “biggest producers of defence equipment” with senior military officers, decision makers and government representatives.

Amer Tabaa, SOFEX director, said the event will start with a conference to discuss issues related to international special forces and national security, followed by a three-day exhibition that presents the latest technologies necessary to face current challenges, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
