Social security subscribers number 1.074 million

MAFRAQ — The total number of subscribers at the Social Security Corporation has reached 1.074 million, representing 70 per cent of Jordan’s workforce, SSC Media Director Musa Sbeihi said Monday.

During a meeting with media representatives in Mafraq, Sbeihi said the percentage of the subscribers is one of the highest among those recorded in developing countries.

The number of SSC pensioners has reached 164,000, including 71,000 early retirees.
