AMMAN — Social Development Minister Hala Lattouf on Monday said that the ministry has begun preparing an anti-begging plan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Lattouf said that the ministry is working on addressing several social issues through adopting certain approaches that include education and rehabilitation.
She added that the ministry will follow new policies to deal with begging, especially using children. “Unlike the existing polices, which dealt with the problem as an illegal practice”, Lattouf said the new plan will take into consideration the economic and social condition of beggars.
