AMMAN — The Ministry of Social Development has evacuated 73 families whose homes were affected by heavy rain. The families have been temporarily housed in rented accommodations or transferred to evacuation centres, the ministry announced on Wednesday.
A total of 44 homes were rented temporarily, and 29 families were moved to evacuation centres, the ministry said, adding that financial and in-kind assistance was offered to around 835 families across the Kingdom, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The ministry stressed that the central operations room and sub-committees are continuously providing relief services, noting that the public can reach the emergency committees by calling 06/5678490 to report any emergency cases.
