AMMAN — The Ministry of Social Development on Sunday said it implemented a special programme between Thursday and Saturday to deal with the weather conditions in the Kingdom.
The programme was run in cooperation with partners through a main emergency room in Amman and others in 41 social development directorates across Jordan.
The ministry distributed around 100 blankets and 100 food parcels to underprivileged families in Amman, in addition to providing aid to 287 families across the Kingdom.
The ministry said it helped the public during the snowstorm and checked on the conditions of homes for the elderly, in cooperation with the concerned institutions.
