AMMAN — Temperatures on Thursday are expected to witness a slight increase with dry conditions and probability of dust formations in the Kingdom’s eastern and southern regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

On Friday, a hot and dry air mass is forecast to end, with temperatures in valleys and mountainous areas dropping to average levels for this time of year.

Relatively hot weather is forecast throughout the rest of the Kingdom, with north-westerly moderate to brisk winds, the weather department said.

Another slight decrease in temperatures is forecast for Saturday, with moderate weather in mountainous areas.

The JMD warned against going out in the sun for long hours on Thursday, especially during noon hours in the Dead Sea area, Ghor and Aqaba, and cautioned of possible low visibility due to dust formation in the eastern and southern parts of the Kingdom.

On Thursday temperatures in Amman are forecast to see a high of 36°C during the day and a low of 24°C at night. On Friday, temperatures are expected to be between 32°C and 21°C, while on Saturday mercury levels will range between 29°C during the day and a low of 18°C at night, according to the JMD.

In Aqaba, temperatures are expected to reach 42°C during the day and 30°C at night on Thursday, while on Friday they will hover between 40°C and 27°C, and between 39°C and 25°C on Saturday.
