Sisi visits Jordan’s pavilion at ‘Turathna’ handicraft exhibition

AMMAN — Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on Saturday visited the Jordanian pavilion at the “Turathna” (our heritage) Exhibition for handicraft products.

The exhibition is meant to revive the traditional crafts and assist the small-scale handicraft manufacturers, according to the exhibition’s website.

Accompanied by Egypt Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea, and in the presence of Jordan’s Ambassador to Cairo Amjad Adaileh, Sisi had a firsthand look at the Jordanian products displayed in the exhibit.

In its third edition, the event witnessed the participation of Jordan, Sudan and the UAE, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.     

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Adaileh met the Egyptian trade minister over easing obstacles hindering trade between Jordan and Egypt.

Gamea reiterated keenness on following up on all issues discussed with the related bodies in Egypt to facilitate the necessary measures for Jordanian traders and importers to Egypt, or via Egypt to other African countries.
