Shboul, German ambassador discuss exchanging media expertise

AMMAN — Minister of Government Communications Faisal Shboul and German Ambassador to Jordan Bernhard Kampmann on Thursday participated in a discussion workshop on the German media experience.

The workshop followed the recent visit of a Jordanian media delegation to Germany to have a firsthand look at Germany's media field, legislation, regulations and laws governing media work in Germany, and its experience in dealing with various media outlets and social media platforms, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Shboul referred to the cooperation relations between the two countries, including in the media sector through training and exchanging media visits.

For his part, Kampmann said that media has an important role in stimulating public debate and forming the political will, which requires a proper environment for this endeavour.
