AMMAN — Labour Minister Yousef Al Shamali on Sunday denied reports that the grace period for foreign workers to rectify their legal status was extended, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The grace period remains the same, between July 4, 2021 and September 2, 2021, as set by the Cabinet.
The minister called on employers to expedite the legalisation process of their non-Jordanian employees, stressing that illegal non-Jordanian workers will be deported if employers do not rectify their legal status within the grace period.
