AMMAN — The SGS Company has renewed its accreditation for the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) /the Internal Control Unit for 2022-2023.
This follows the commission's commitment to the International Standard for Risk Management (ISO 31000), which is obtained in September 2021 for three years.
Annual compliance audits are conducted as part of the commission's efforts to assess and address risks, ensuring business continuity and achieving strategic goals.
The EMRC’s Internal Control Unit is the first regulatory unit in government institutions in the Kingdom to obtain the ISO 31000 certificate, which was awarded after the SGS specialised audit team reviewed the risk management at the commission and ensured that all requirements were met, according to a statement of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
