Several suspects arrested for home, shop thefts

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have recently arrested several suspects involved in house and shop thefts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported Wednesday.

In one case, south Amman CID personnel arrested a suspect for reportedly stealing from houses and shops. He confessed to committing 14 home burglaries with an accomplice who was subsequently arrested.

In Irbid, CID agents identified a suspect of various thefts who was arrested and confessed to committing nine thefts of houses, stores and vehicles.

All the arrested suspects were referred to the judiciary.
