Several suspected drug dealers arrested this week

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) arrested several drug dealers and confiscated some amounts of narcotics across the Kingdom since the beginning of this week, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said Tuesday.

AND cadres attempted to arrest one of the suspects in Abdali area in Amman but after confrontation with officers he managed to run away, said the statement, adding that two policemen were slightly injured in their legs.

Police later arrested the suspect after a car chase, said the statement, indicating that quantities of marijuana were found in his vehicle.

The PSD statement said that AND officers arrested two suspects were in Sahab in a house raid, and found hashish and other types of drugs. A suspect in Mafraq was also arrested this week, in addition to others in Irbid, Balqa and Karak.
