Several suspected drug dealers arrested

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel arrested several suspected drug dealers around the Kingdom this week, according to a Public Security Department statement released on Thursday. One of the suspects worked in a shipping company in Sahab and agents received information that he was going to receive a shipment of narcotics from abroad.

The agents inspected the package and found 5kg of synthetic cannabis (known locally as joker). They arrested the suspect and initiated an investigation. Another case took place in Central Badia when AND agents raided the house of a suspect classified as "very dangerous". The personnel arrested the suspect and found 2,500 narcotic pills and 1kg of hashish in his house.
