Senate president meets with Romania’s ambassador

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Al Fayez on Tuesday met with Romania's Ambassador to Jordan George Cristian Maior to discuss strengthening bilateral ties. During the meeting, the two parties emphasised depth of Jordanian-Romanian relations, and commented on the need to strengthen ties to serve common interests and remove any obstacles. On current issues, Fayez highlighted Jordan's positions regarding the Palestinian cause, stressing that a just solution to the Palestinian issue is the key to resolving all regional conflicts, and that there is no solution to the Palestinian cause except in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution. The Romanian diplomat praised Jordan's efforts to bring peace, security and stability to the region, noting the many areas of cooperation between Romania and Jordan. He affirmed his country's keenness to advance ties with Jordan in various fields.
