Senate president, House speaker meet with outgoing Kuwaiti ambassador

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Tuesday received outgoing Kuwaiti Ambassador Aziz Dihani to discuss the enhancement of Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations to best serve the interests of the two countries and emphasise issues central to Arab and Islamic nations.
Fayez reviewed the latest regional developments and Jordan’s consistent stances, stressing that the Kingdom’s positions focus on achieving peace and stability and empowering its people to live freely and securely, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Also, on Tuesday, Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi met with Dihani and stressed the “deep-rooted” relations that serve the interests of the countries and the central causes of the Arab nations, mainly the Palestinian issue.
Safadi praised Dihani’s contributions towards boosting cooperation in all fields. Dihani, during the two meetings, commended His Majesty King Abdullah’s efforts to solve issues in the region and achieve peace, stressing Kuwait’s keenness to further enhance relations with Jordan in various areas.
