Senate president, House speaker extend Independence Day greetings

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Al Fayez on Tuesday extended greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah and Crown Prince Hussein as well as all Jordanians to mark the Kingdom's 75 Independence Day, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He stressed that “independence is not only a holiday, or a passing moment in history, but rather a series of achievements in various fields”.

Both Fayez and Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat emphasised the role of the Hashemite Royal family in materialising independence, expressing their pride in His Majesty as he follows the steps of his predecessors, preserving the Hashemite Custodianship over Jerusalem’s holy sites.
