AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Al Fayez participated in the monthly seminar held by the Department of Cultural Facilities and Programmes at the Greater Amman Municipality titled: "Jordan Great Challenges and Future Prospects".
Fayez said that His Majesty King Abdullah is spearheading the comprehensive reform process, encompassing its political, economic and administrative dimensions, to enable Jordan to confront challenges, especially economic ones, and to advance the country’s political and economic landscape and food security, especially as these issues have become top national priorities for His Majesty, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He reaffirmed that His Majesty stressed that the process of economic modernisation should be cross-governmental, which calls for the need to develop economic plans capable of overcoming the current situation in the region, relying mainly on Jordanian human resources, while improving the investment environment and opening new markets for national industries and products, with the aim of reaching self-sufficiency, improving the growth figures, and providing a decent life for citizens.
