Senate president calls for integrated pan-Arab economic vision

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday called for developing an integrated pan-Arab vision to address economic challenges of the Arab nation and enhance pan-Arab cooperation to create diverse economic and investment partnerships.

Fayez made the remarks during a meeting with Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the Arab League Ambassador Muhammadi Ahmed Ni, Egyptian Assistant Minister of Interior for Training Affairs Ashraf Saber and President of the Arab Trainers Union Younis Khatiba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The meeting went over the current Arab economic situation, the challenges to sustainable development, the impact of these challenges on economic growth, poverty and unemployment rates, and the importance of pan-Arab action to address these challenges.
