AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez and British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind on Monday discussed regional developments and bilateral ties.
Talks also went over the importance of further enhancing Jordanian-UK relations in various fields, mainly at the economic and political levels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fayez commended London's stances that support Amman and His Majesty King Abdullah's vision towards the peace process in the Middle East. The Senate president also reviewed the Kingdom's economic challenges imposed by regional conditions, especially the Syrian crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the need for the international community to support Jordan through investments.
For her part, Brind stressed the "deep-rooted" British-Jordanian ties and the importance to enhance them, referring to efforts to realise peace in the region and combat the pandemic.
