Selangor mufti commends Jordan’s experience in Hajj fund

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Wael Arabiyat on Monday met with Selangor Mufti Dato Setia Hj. Mohd. to review the work of the Hajj Fund and the success it has achieved in investing the money of subscribers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Arabiyat said his ministry is working on the reinvestment in waqf lands, valued at JD1 million, noting that it embarked on a plan to revive Islamic endowments and reinvest in them properly. The mufti of Selangor commended the achievements of the Awqaf Ministry and said it is important for Muslim countries to benefit from the Jordanian experience in the field.
