Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs, Executive Director of UN Women discuss efforts to halt war on Gaza

AMMAN — Foreign Ministry Secretary-General for Diplomatic and Expatriates Affairs Majid Qatarneh on Sunday met with UN Undersecretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women Sima Bahous over the latest developments in Gaza and efforts exerted to halt the war and ensure the safety of civilians, mainly women and children. Talks during the meeting highlighted the importance for the international community to bear its responsibilities and launch an immediate and effective effort to stop the war and humanitarian suffering and catastrophe on Gaza, according to a ministry statement. The two sides also discussed means to intensify mechanisms that can save women and children and provide them with the necessary help.
