Saudis top nationalities investing in Amman bourse

AMMAN — Saudis topped foreign nationalities investing in the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) by the end of January.
Saudi nationals’ investments totalled JD1.018 billion in the ASI with securities reaching 400 million and shareholdings standing at 2,482.
A total of 7.2 securities were registered by the Security Depository by the end of January, at a value of JD17.5 billion.
The ownership of the top non-Jordanian nationalities reached some 1.7 billion shares at a value of JD6.3 billion. Jordanians’ ownership totalled 3 billion securities, estimated at JD9.2 billion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
