Saudi FM arrives in Jordan to deliver King Salman’s letter of support

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Tuesday received Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan who arrived in the Kingdom on Monday carrying a letter to His Majesty King Abdullah from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The letter stressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with the Kingdom in facing all threats and supporting all steps that King Abdullah implements to preserve Jordan and its interests, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
Safadi also conveyed His Majesty’s greetings to King Salman, praising Riyadh’s stances that always support Jordan.
The two ministers highlighted the “deep-rooted, historical and brotherly” ties between the two kingdoms and their leaderships, stressing continuous efforts to develop these relations at all levels.
Safadi and Prince Faisal reiterated that the security of the two kingdoms is “inseparable”, adding that Jordan and Saudi Arabia stand side by side in the face of all threats.
They also went over regional developments and means to deal with them in a way that serves joint interests and Arab causes and instils security and stability.
