Saudi envoy reaffirms KSA support for Jordan during meeting with Senate chief

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez and Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Prince Khalid Bin Faisal on Thursday discussed bolstering mutual ties in service of the best interests of both countries and the Arab and Islamic world.

During the meeting that also covered the recent regional developments, Fayez voiced Jordan’s rejection of any interference in the internal affairs of Arab Gulf states, according to a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

He also highlighted economic challenges facing the Kingdom resulting from the regional turmoil and surrounding circumstances, underscoring the need for more support.

Fayez expressed Jordan’s pride in the advanced level of Jordanian-Saudi ties, valuing Saudi’s support. Acknowledging the challenges facing Jordan, the ambassador said that Saudi Arabia will spare no effort to support the Kingdom as the two countries are bound by deep-rooted relations.
