AMMAN — The Sanad app was among the winners of the World Summit Awards (WSA) in the Government and Citizen Engagement category, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced on Monday.
The WSA is a global organisation established in 2003 within the framework of the United Nations World Summit on Information Society (WSIS).
It is an award system that selects and promotes local digital innovations to improve society, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A team from the ministry participated in the competition, alongside more than 350 app developers from over 70 countries.
The ministry said that this is Sanad's first time participating in a global contest, stressing that work is underway to further develop the app and make it a unified platform for all government e-services.
