AMMAN — Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received a phone call on Thursday from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
The two officials reviewed a range of issues of mutual interest, with particular focus on the serious escalation in the region and prospects for restoring security and stability.
Rubio condemned Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom as well as other Arab and Islamic countries.
Safadi underscored the importance of Jordanian-American relations and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening ties. Rubio, in turn, commended Jordan’s role in promoting regional security and stability.
