Safadi, US assistant secretary discuss war on Gaza

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf on Thursday discussed efforts aimed at ending the war in Gaza.

Talks also focused on finalising the exchange deal with Egyptian, Qatari, and US efforts, and delivering sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the entire besieged sector, according to a ministry statement.

The meeting also addressed several bilateral issues as part of efforts to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
