AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and UK Secretary of State for Foreign,Commonwealth and Development Affairs James Cleverly on Thursday discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and efforts to halt the war and ensure the protection of civilians.During a Riyadh-held meeting, Safadi talked about the pressing need to halt the war against the besieged enclave, highlighting the humanitarian crisis and theresulting destruction. Safadi called for protecting civilians and respecting international and humanitarian laws, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Safadi also highlighted the need to provide "immediate and adequate" humanitarian assistance to the Gazans and stressed the need for Israel to comply with international law.
