AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi spoke by phone on Thursday with Foreign Minister of Rwanda Vincent Biruta and expressed the Kingdom's condolences over the victims of floods in Rwanda.
Safadi stressed Jordan's solidarity with Rwanda in dealing with this difficult circumstance and Amman's readiness, following His Majesty King Abdullah's directives, to offer any possible assistance in facing the repercussions of floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall that claimed the lives of 130 people, destroyed more than 5,000 houses and partially damaged over 2,000 other houses, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
