Safadi discusses war on Gaza with French, Dutch counterparts

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna on Saturday discussed the efforts to launch an “immediate and effective” international effort to halt the war on Gaza.
The two top diplomats also underlined the need to provide protection to civilians and deliver humanitarian assistance delivery to the Gaza Strip.
During a telephone phone call, Safadi said that Israel, as the occupying power, must uphold its obligations, stop its violation of the international law, international humanitarian law and all humanitarian and moral values, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
Safadi thanked Colona for France's condemnation of bombing of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza.
Also on Saturday, Safadi and his Dutch Foreign Minister Hanke Bruins Slot underlined the need for intensified international effort to halt the war on Gaza and provide protection to civilians.
During a telephone call with Slot, Safadi said that Israel should comply with international will and stop its aggression on Gaza and humanitarian catastrophe and suffering it has caused, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also condemned Israeli attacks on civilian institutions, including schools and hospitals.
