Safadi congratulates Iraq on ‘successful’ elections

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi on Tuesday congratulated Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein on the "successful" elections in Iraq.

Safadi described the elections as a new achievement towards reconstruction and realising the aspirations of the Iraqi people, according to a ministry statement. He also voiced the Kingdom's solidarity with Iraq and support to the Iraqi government in maintaining stability and protecting the country's interests and sovereignty.
