AMMAN — The Royal Hashemite Court hosted on Sunday the first sectoral workshops, aimed at assessing the progress of the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV), which was launched three years ago under Royal directives.
The workshops are aligned with His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to follow up on the implementation of the EMV in order to ensure progress that leads to accelerated economic growth and a tangible impact on the lives of citizens, according to a statement from the Royal Court.
Experts, academics, and representatives of the private sector and civil society organisations who were involved in drafting the EMV, as well as media professionals, are participating in the sectoral workshops, scheduled to run until July 29.
The workshops will serve to solidify the EMV as a blueprint for successive governments within the stipulated timeframe, the statement said.
The workshops, which are held periodically for each phase of the EMV, provide an opportunity for a responsible and independent review of its implementation.
The workshops will ensure essential feedback is gathered, and will enable plans for optimisation of the vision’s initiatives and recommendations, to keep pace with technological and technical developments, in line with the best modern practices, the statement said.
The government has completed 32.4 per cent of the total 545 priorities outlined in the EMV Executive Programme, since its launch in early 2023 through the end of the first half of this year.
According to progress data monitored by Al Mamlaka TV for the 2023–2025 period, a total of 177 priorities have been completed as of mid-2025. Meanwhile, 342 priorities, accounting for 62.9 per cent, remain in progress.
The Government Performance Monitoring System also reported that 21 priorities, or 3.9 per cent of the total, are currently delayed. Additionally, four priorities, less than 1 per cent, had not yet been initiated as of the end of March, Al Mamlaka reported.
