Royal Decree appoints new Civil Defence director

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Monday approving a Cabinet decision to appoint Maj. Gen. Mustafa Abed Rabbo Ibrahim Bazaiah as director of the Civil Defence Department (CDD), as of April 17, 2017.

A second Royal Decree was issued approving a Council of Ministers, decision to promote former CDD director Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi to the rank of general, according to a Royal Court statement. The Cabinet earlier in the day decided to refer Kofahi for retirement as of Monday.
