Royal Court chief briefs Atlantic Council delegation on domestic, regional issues

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh on Monday met with a delegation from the Atlantic Council, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the meeting, Tarawneh discussed regional and international developments with the delegates, in addition to the Kingdom’s efforts to deal with the crises in the Middle East.

Tarawneh briefed them on Jordan’s efforts in hosting around 1.3 million Syrians and the repercussions of the influx. The Royal Court chief also discussed the political reform process in the Kingdom with the delegates.

The delegates commended Jordan’s role in dealing with regional and international issues. The Atlantic Council was established in 1961 in Washington as a nonpartisan research institution that acts as a forum for politicians, businesspeople and thinkers around the world.
