Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs reaffirms support for Palestinians

AMMAN — The Israeli attacks on Palestine and occupied Jerusalem are “barbaric actions and represent a systematic apartheid approach” against Palestinians and the holy sites, Secretary General of the Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs Abdullah Kanaan said on Monday.

In a committee statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Kanaan stressed that the Hashemite Custodianship is the legal guarantor for protecting the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

He also stressed the importance and centrality of the unwavering Jordanian position towards the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.
