Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs hails King’s stance towards holy city

AMMAN — The Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs on Wednesday praised His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein’s stances towards the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.

The committee's secretary general, Abdullah Kanaan, expressed the committee’s support to the Hashemite Custodianship over Jerusalem’s Islamic and Christian holy sites, highlighting the Kingdom’s fixed stance towards the Palestinian cause, notably the calls for the two-state solution, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also expressed the committee’s appreciation of Crown Prince Hussein’s announcement about the cancellation of a scheduled visit to Al Aqsa Mosque to commemorate Al Israa and Al Miraj after Israel violated arrival protocols at Al Haram Al Sharif and tried to impose complications to hinder Jerusalemites’ entry to the mosque.
